TRIO - for violin, cello and piano (2023)

Composed in 2023, TRIO is an introspective exploration into sound, featuring three intimately linked movements. Rather than standing alone, each movement feels like a statue in a musical gallery – a tangible representation of a specific theme and feeling.

Mov. I: Frozen Clock evokes the stillness and timelessness of a moment suspended in eternity.
Mov. II: Night paints the vastness of the night sky and its enveloping silence, pierced only by distant echoes.
Mov. III Memory beckons with the fluidity and movement of recollections, drawing one into a dance of past experiences.

Throughout TRIO, there is a profound immersion into the nuances of sound: its spacious sonorities, its lingering echoes, and the very journey sound takes as it moves through time and space. This piece stands as a testament to the depth and complexity that can be found when one truly listens.

Premiered and recorded by Unheard-of Ensemble at McAllister Auditorium, San Antonio, Texas.
